To get our police the training to do that would mean taking money away from speed cameras (Their biggest monny spinner) .After all It took them ages to stop a tractor the other month

Lord Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gearsville suggested that the police should get rid of all their poncy pursuit vehicles and spend the money on a fleet of old Rover SDs. The front bumpers should be replaced by 4"x2"x1/4" square tube and the police use the banger racers technique of pushing on the rear n/s or o/s until the criminal driver is applying lots of lock to stay in a straight line. Hit the brakes and voila, scumbags car on its roof in a field. Who cares if they get scratched or even die. They wouldn't be running away if they where innocent and who is going to miss low-life anyway?

We have the same problem here with victims rights and a toothless police force.
For years I have adcocated using a ground attack helicopter.
Show a demo with a remotely controlled vehicle on an old runway or similar showing what a 25mm chain gun or air to ground rocket will do to a car.
Saturate all the TV channels with said advert and tell the scumbags this is what will happen if you try a runner.
