There is nothing on the EX103 acceptance or the HO930 to say which rate you will be on. Basically, if you are using Straight Vegetable Oil (SVO) or Waste Vegetable Oil (WVO) you have to pay the higher 47p rate.
If you are Transesterifying (is that a word?) your oil to produce Biodiesel, you pay the lower 27p rate. The reason for the lower rate was apparently to subsidise the higher cost of producing Biodiesel i.e buying Methanol & Caustic Soda as well as mixing tanks etc.
For reference, the HO930 form has an empty box at the bottom of the table which you should use when declaring your oil.
