You have. What model is it? IE, SSRG,SSRX, SSRX Limited etc, etc. I see it has a rear mounted spare and a rear spoiler, nice. What year is it?

Mine is a 2nd Gen SSRG 3.0. This is what mine looks like. A front and 3/4 rear shot.

Kerry, do you know if you have had a replacement head fitted to your engine? The 2.4's have a head problem. Not all go, but there are quite a few that have needed a replacement. Stevo can sort you out if it ever goes!! Just look under head problems to see what problems people have had.

Not as far as I know. I don't know whether you can tell if the head has had the mod done just looking at it. If it does go, you will know about it. But don't worry, if it happens it will happen. Just enjoy the truck. For some reason it doesn't happen to the 3.0lt engines. How long have you had it?

These are just some problems with a head problem.

                          White smoke on start up
                          Engine runs rough
                          loss of coolant
coolant boils out of header tank
engine oil looks like melted ice cream
                          oil in coolant
                          engine runs hot or overheats
                          loss of power
throthy, scum around oil filler and inside rocker cover
steam coming from rocker cover or from dipstick tube when dipstick removed.
                          loss of combustion pressure

There are more, but you will know if it goes. It depends what part of the head goes, and whether it's a head gasket or cracked head. Usually it involves overheating and coolant boiling out of header tank. If you are loosing coolant and there doesn't seem to be a leak, then that is also a sign.

                          Hope this helps?
