Well we got to NZ and settled(so far) in Red Beach, Auckland. Could do with some advice as have found a surf that looks good initially.
It's a '89 2.4 diesel turbo 5 spd manual, got a 193,000k's on the clock. Generally in good nick has has new clutch and brake lines, motor feels good if a bit gutless but I guess thats down to engine size and being a diesel, any thing I should look out for or be aware of on one this age, appears to have spent its life in NZ as mums run around, any advice gratefully recieved. Noticed the engine giving out black smoke when pulling away from standstill on a hill, normal? dirty injectors?? plus can anyone give me an idea of cost to have front drive shaft gaiters replaced here in NZ oh yeah ands what about cost of new cam?
