Just roughly measured my trucks poise, with a tape measure.

    Roughly
Front N/S from top of rim to base of wheel arch 13 1/4"

    Front O/S 13"

    Rear N/S 12 1/2"

    Rear O/S 12"

Does anyone know what the measurements should be as standard?

Is the rear and front supposed to be the same level all round, or should the rear be higher than the front, or the front higher than the rear???

Those measurements will obviously depend on what size wheels you've got on the truck.. I think the general idea is to measure from the centre of the hub..

Have a look at this thread, too... http://www.hiluxsurf.co.uk/forums/sh...ad.php?t=16420
    It just does, OK?

The standard we measure our trucks by is from wheel rim to base of wheel arch- so your measurements are meaningfull to me at least. You've got some butt sag I'd say- needs to be 12.5"+

You should aim to be the same all around- but the truck looks nicer with the rear a little higher!

hehehe! I was looking at that earlier. I think he needs stronger anti-rollbars!

Can't say that I've noticed any difference.

Thanks mate. I did have a look around some threads, and that was the method used. I have the standard wheel rims like Vince's. I definitely have ars* sag, as it's lower than the front, and she leans over to the offside.

                      WOW, nice truck vince.

Tell me what mods you have done to her? Also what is your suspension set up? I would love mine to look like yours, bit higher at the back. Can you tell me what you did to get her like that?

And your rims are the same as mine, but look like thay have been chromed as they are very shiney!!

                        Right then deep breath.......
The wheels are standard alloys but when I first got the truck they were a bit dull. This was because the clear laquer coating on them was dull and flaking in places. To get them looking like they do now I got some paint and varnish stripper, the Nitromors stuff in a yellow can thats especially for intricate and ornamental work, (it's thinner than the usual paint stripper!) I brushed it on one wheel at a time waited for about 30 secs, or as soon as I saw the laquer 'bubbling' and wiped it of with a rag. Once all off I washed the wheels then dried them and polished them by hand using Autosol polish.
Then I painted the recessed parts of the wheels with satin black Hamerite.
Oh and I sprayed the centre caps with Blackfriar's extra bright aluminium paint, and polished the domed part of the wheel nuts.

As for the suspension, I've got 1995 Landcruiser HD80 rear springs fitted together with Procomp ES3000 shocks, Panhard rod drop bracket.
I've still haven't wound the front torsion bars up yet or replaced the front shocks.

This pic was taken after I removed the wheel arch extensions back in the summer. They are back on now 'cos of the wetter weather.

Mine has same spec HDJ80 coils but are less rated so give better ride.....Also, when you adjust the front this has an effect on the rear i.e. lift the front the rear will go up a small amount. All to with corner weights and yes it is true and i have witnessed it with my own truck...

So, HDJ80 coils are the same, but softer? Great. Have either of you guys, Vince & Dog Book, changed the torsion bars or are they standard?

                            Cheers...

No, My HDJ80 coils are standard Landcruiser and are really firm. DogBooks coils are the same length (to give the same amount of lift) but he had them re-made so that they are softer.
I haven't replaced my torsion bars yet, but I will be adjusting them soon.
