I would love this. You really can buy anything if you have the money.

But at £250,000 it's a bit out of my price range.

They are made by Reynolds Boughton in Winkleigh in North Devon and yours truely used to make the chassis for those. Its a V12 in there and thats cheap, they are over £500,000 new. Just the engine alone is £58,000.

Now that's very interesting. Have you got lots of info and photo's????

Withams did have some war reserve RB44's for sale with cargo and radio bodies. It looks like they have sold them all. I have only seen one around here and really like those as a medium utility truck. Unfortunately I have never had the opportunity to drive one, as all the Regiments I have been in never had them.

This site is really cool as they are always getting new stock, and get some very interesting bits of equipment in from time to time. I know everyone on here seems Land Rover hostile (I own two), but have you looked at the weapons platform they are selling? Brand New. If you are into shows as much as me, it's not so much what the vehicle is, but how un-usual it is! I have a mate who got his hands on a TUM Wolf. Not many of those are around as they are are pretty new into service. His TUM always attracts alot of attention.

It was a lot better in those days, before the EU made everyone put vehicles that were for breaking into racks. Then, they had hundreds of Land Rovers stored in a big field. They do a lot of aid agency conversions. They also have a lot of Bedford MK and MJ trucks for sale. I remember when the Gulf war kicked off, all the vehicles the MOD sold to them were requsitioned back, as they never had enough trucks for the war.

I was friends with a guy called John Cullet. He ran the show down there until he retired. Very nice guy.

They are a bit pricey now though. At one time they used to have quite a few AEC "knockers" for sale. Wish I bought one, as they are worth lots of money now as there are hardly any left.

When i was looking to buy a 4x4 originally i was considering a ex army landy and was looking seriously at getting it from vass . the thing that caught my eye at the time was they had some aircraft R.I.V. appliances for £25,000 . I wish,,,, after all i used to co-run a TAC-R landy with a 100 gal tank .
