greasy nipples

Just been greasing my shaft and nipples.... and have a wee question.
Is there any reason why grease nipples have to be fitted then removed from the front ball joints??
There seems to be enough clearence to fit and leave nipples in place!

any comments?

It's o.k. to leave them there. Just make sure you give them a wipe before attaching the grease gun next time.

My top ball joints are fitted with 90 deg nipples at the top and blanking bolts on the bottom. I just remove one from the top, grease the bottom ones and re-fit to the top.

When I greased my truck up I couldn't see any nipples on the bottom joints or anywhere to fit them - was I not looking hard enough then?

believe some are sealed???? can't seem to find any on mine either
