ah, i remember, in the days before the poll, men knew what they thought without asking anyone else. in these uncertain times of opinion poles and focus groups no one seems able to make a concious desision anymore. now one mans folly in doing what he wants has been washed out into a grey concensus of everyones view of whats least offensive to the huddled masses.
oh for the days when you could stand up and say right or wrong, this is what i think. i am prepared to make a decision and take responsibility for the consequences. i stand or fall by my own hand, and will not be told what to think.
so stand up, all of you! and to hell with the opinion makers, for we are all opinion makers and we do not need some narrow guidlines to follow that matches us to whatever shallow foible a newspaper editor, or tv producer chooses to feed us! damn the polsters! they seek to manipulate any answer given to suit their paymasters. i will make my decisions uninformed and i insist that they do the same! run down the market researchers, for any businessman worth his wage will know what his customer wants, and if he doesnt then out with him too!
