  • Tony's been at it again!

Went up to see the grinderman yesterday to sort my leaking water pump and deliver some checkerplate. Ended up with new cam belt, and fan/ps pump belts!

Seems he's found a new tool to play with! My poor truck! Oh well, didnt want aircon back anyway. Stoopid place to put a cambelt cover bolt if you ask me!

Cheers for the tools and garage loan mate! Hope you got the cam belt done before midnight!

OMG Dr Anglegrinder is Multi Tool Equip?
Funny how his specialites all seem to involve dis-mantling vehicles no?

ps, without Tonys assistance my Surfs would be in very poor shape, and Wifey would not be enjoying the fruits and additional torque of the egr mod.
Ok nicely done, when we dry off we can go find the boat!

There is a reason for this...............soaks up the oil leaks!

After I destroyed my aircon rad last winter and then finding I had knackered the ac compressor bearings, I decided to remove all the aircon. You want cold air, open a window. There is a cambelt cover bolt right behind the bracket that holds the ac belt idler pulley and alternator. I couldnt be @rsed to remove the alternator so Tony removed the bracket!

Just wondering why he always seems to have an insane grin when he gets near my truck!

He seems to be making a habit of it...

Cut mine off too, changing the cam belt... but I did get my new water pump in there...

Note: the new water pump revision has longer vanes on the impeller. Approximately 30% larger than the original water pump. Same number of vanes.

Also got one of those new style Fuelcat's... blimey they are big... and the sticker doesn't line up when you put them on square... So Phil, if you've got a new sticker... I could do with another one...?

                            Tony...

I don't think its can't be bothered... its the cost of fixing it...

£300 for the magnetic clutch on the front....?
£300 to £600 to get the compressor rebuilt/replaced?

Might as well lose some weight, and gain 5 - 10% back from parasaitic loss.

Oh, and thanks very much for yesterday. Job well done. As always, best service in the south...
