Sarah and James and in the coal shed playing when they are called to tea. James comes out of the shed with coal all over his face, whereas Sarah's face is clean. Why is it then that Sarah is the only one who cleans her face before going to tea?

A to 1st one - a coffin

2nd one - They didn't have a mirror. They looked at each other. The one with the clean face saw the dirty face and thought hers was also dirty, so she wiped his face. The one with the dirty face saw the clean face and assumed his was also clean, so he didn't wipe his face.
