  • regional membership where are you

    Hi All

the normal problem on forums, i also belong to a couple of bmw forums and when someone had a breakdown / problem we didnt know who was available locally to help.

To give you an example we had a member who needed all the front end steering components replaced, we had the knowledge and experience on site and formed a loose AA/RAC style help system.

We found that we had a lot of members locally who were willing to pitch in and help, hence we kept a non technical members car on the road, had a day out getting mucky and learning a little more on the car for when ever it happened to us.

We incorporated a map system on the site where everyone put in their location on a map which helped when someone local needed help, also it encouraged local meetings ect with in the forum community.

Has anyone thought of doing this on this site????
