Just ask for two 380 or 400cca batteries. Thrust some figures at them first and knock them off balence.

Got mine 2 weeks ago from ats as they were local. 'varta' brand, 2 year garantee (some limit diesel to 12 months!) both fitted for £110 + tony's bit
could have got a no name for £50 each but only 12 months - thought a fiver was worth the extra year..............time will tell
at least mine should now be OK for the winter!
Did I mention I have a BLUE one

Have you inspected the cell to see if they just need a top with water or acid?

Was that for one battery or two?

I was going to suggest the new 4x4 garage in Millers Road near Warwick Hospital. Seen them advertised in the local rag- I wonder what they will charge me for a custom winch bumper?

Can't remember the name of this new place so I can't post a link right now.

is that connected to the souped up disco with the 4x4 4u or some such on the wheel cover? that was for the 2 batteries (numax premiums 535 amp each) that should do it... glow plugs now light up for less than a second

right, i've just been and checked out the place on millers road. its called 4x4 r us. the mainly do l### rovers but... they are keen to get into jap stuff too (theres a l200 parked outside ) they fabricate on site, they do make winch bumpers. to make one for a surf, they will need to borrow one for about a week to do a prototype, then he thinks it will be about 300 quid. (without winch...) discount if your surf is the prototype... they deal with milners, and reckon they can get anything you want! phone no. is 01926 411995. i'll race you for the cheap bumper!

£300 is a very good deal for a winch bunper though.

Has anyone tried Woolston Garage in Woolston (duh!) just outside Coventry?

They are 4x4 specialists and may remember the Bundubasher as I was always in there scrounging something or other!

MIne went too this week , must be the cold weather !

I only changed one though , the bloke tested em and one was 410 amps and the other was 300 so changed the 300 one for a 450 Amp one at £39 . still doesnt start , but turns over quicker ...

                              Need glow plugs too !
