Help needed what to look for in a surf

Hi all we are new to the boards and new to surfs
We would to hear form any members with advise on what to buy and what no to buy and what to look out for
I.E inerent problems etc (some over heat )
Also some avrage running costs would be helpfull we think its around 25 a gal ?
We have done the surf the net look at ebay etc etc and finaly found you guys its always best to ask peole that have one dont you think

You want one with wheels, thats always a good start.

Do a search on here for head problems, most common on the 2.4

Pops has a shining example for sale, and you get a free forum sticker with that one. Got to be worth it!

Other than that, every question you want to ask has been covered, re covered, discussed and debated on this forum somewhere.

And you also run the risk of getting some sense out of some people.

no chance what so ever getting much sense out of this lot!!

oh yeah dont buy any ball bearings or resistor chips off delbay.. or sunvisor translations or owners manuals ... think that just about covers it... i think...

Re surf

So the fu fu valve is working fine then on Pops lol
I forgot to say i have some old days 4b4 via ex milatry land rover wich i went sea coaling with for the fun of it
Trust me that is 4b4 ing it with over 1.5 of a tone on it lol

As for pops we are intrested becouse he is a member of this board and we do trust him
We do thou need to look around a bit to be fair to our selfs

look for a not burgundy one as the grey ones are faster

look for the normal things
but also look at the tow bar
it may have spent the past few years towing god knows what
score marks one the towbar is something to look out for
but they are made to do it so not a major thing

ssrx good spec (seems to have everything apart from crusie control)
