Cobra alarm/imobiliser

My Surf had a Cobra alarm/imobiliser fitted before I bought it and the battery in the key fob is ready for changing.

Does anybody know if this is a simple change of the battery or is there some new programming involved? I have a serial number and a pin code along with a certificate of installation but no other information.

Sure, I'ts easy.

Just change the take out the old battery and pop in the new one.

If the light stays on on the key fob it will need to be reset
The way to reset the fob is to press the two buttons and hold them down for about 5 - 10 secs standing close to the vehicle and the red light on the fob will flash. Then just click the arm and disarm button and it should work ok

But i only think you need to do that when the battery has been out for longer than 40 secs
