I saw it quoted on here somewhere that taking off the bullbar and spotlights gave someone an extra 2mpg. I've never tested it- but it could be correct.

This might sound daft to some of you but some test were done on a scania truck for fuel efficency ( not known for fuel economy are trucks an average of 6 to 10 MPG ) first the made test with Air con and windows closed followed by just running with the windows open. The aircon running proved to be about 5% more efficent than the windows.
read into it what you wantIm not a gynacologist but ill have a look

I totally accept the fact that my Surf is a house on wheels which can drink me under the table ( not easy, I'm a Highlander ) and he weighs close to 2 tonne unladen but as you've said Bogus I love him...err...her and wouldn't go back to a car because even though she's off the road with a poorly engine and won't be better till January i still have a BIG grin. I own a Surf!! I like to chip away at things sometimes to get them done to the best of my abilities which is why I took out the air con the other day and this afternoon removed something with an ariel on the end from under the N/S front wing and replaced it with a smaller, lighter ariel. It may not seem like much but I'm not going to just lie down and accept things are they way they are without looking at how to improve them. Rear springs next then the veggie oil. Pass the helium please!!!

custom built carbon fibre bodywork in the shape of a rocket? Take the wheels off and fit racing cycle ones, disconnect half the cylinders on the engine, go on a diet and shave all body hair off (sorry that might be a bit kinky!).Parts of your engine go up, stop then go back! Mm!
