well finally after months of topping the water up and after living without a fully working surf for all this time... The little minx is back up and working! Hurray!
Thanks to TonyN for all the work replacing the head and the hoses and filters etc and to Linda and the others for convincing me to take it to Basingstoke in the first place.
Tony and Linda, very nice people, friendly, chatty, bon oeufs all round.
Took the newly re-headed blue wonder up to norfolk this weekend, pottered around at potter heigham, then managed to upset/disturb a few bird watchers around the nature reserve as we looked for interesting lanes to drive down - started to wish i had some AT's or even MTs as the tracks turned from funny slippery muddy, to simply MUD and then i had to reverse out carefully the way i came, stopped off at sea palling to paddle in the sea and then oggled at the shooting stars over oulton broad on saturday night, slept in the car down a dark secluded lane near Lowestoft then up early on sunday ( sod the clock change Id rather have the extra hour in the day than in bed) trundled to brundell to a chandlery after going via beccles for breakfast then paddled through potter heigham (again)
Came back with a layer of mud up to the tops of the windows and a great big smile.
top surfin weekend, giving many reasons to be cheerful.
