Ha hA ..we are all at it .. Looks in very good condition. apart from steering wheel wong side. I've still not decided how I'm gonna get mine.
Im now searching ebay for :-
MIG welder
Bucket Seats .
and a book - Welding for idiots.
In my head ive decided I want to stick some Mud tyres on it , Fit a roll bar
Bucket seats with harness's , and probably a quik paint job to make it stand out from the crowd. Its already got 2" shakles on it . will have to speak to the experts to see how much trouble it is to lift it more !
The list will probably change when i pick it up and its a complete bag of sh...ehttp://www.darksidesolutions.co.uk - Web Solutions

basically re mounting the axles so they're underneath the springs...
so gives about 3" lift
you can buy a kit, but with some s**** metal you could do it yourself
have to make spring perches on the other side of the axle... modify the steering, and spacers so the props reach the diff.nee nar nee nar, i'm a fire engine!

That looks very tidy Steve. Nice wide offset wheels too. They will look good clad with some nice knobbly rubber.Sparx,
Look out for some Recaro seats from an Astra GTE or similar. Bucket seats are a real pain to get in and out of when off roading (maybe it's because I have a fat arse).
If doing the SPOA lift, don't forget you also need extended brake hoses.
Welding for idiots..................I'm writing it now!
There are some good welding tutorials on the net. It's only a hobby!

i was thinking of bidding on it myself
on mine all i need to do now is
the clutch
the brakes
the steering
the hole in the exhusratamatic (never could spell thit)
the smell of damp
the carb
the wings
drove it back from Northampton
lots of fun scarey as hell
pulls to the right untill you press the break then it lurches to the left
rear diff make a clunking noise as well if you press the pedal
and the gear change feel like you are mixing mud with a stick
its does have a 5th gear 25% of the time
my landlord has gone 50/50 on this with me
the trick is not to let him turn this into one of his PROJECTS!!!!
we have a shed now in year 5 of constuction
(he started with the contents and says he is going to work on the walls and roof another time)Surf MAp
