and, my mate ran me over at low speed once in a cavalier... the front valance nearly chopped my feet off!!...

in a 4x4 he would have hit me in the back of the knees, making me sit on the bonnet and not limped like an buffon all weekend!

Which brings me back to the episode of Top Gear, where they ran over a dummy in a car and a LR 4X4
The car catapulted the dummy up in the air, bounced head off window and ended up on the boot, head first
The 4X4 bent it over the bonnet and pushed it till it stoped and it fell on the floor.

Let me think which one I want.....

i think my preference would be standing on the pavement till the heavy/sharp/ moving thing had gone...
