It's Blackpool Illuminations time

As a few of you might remember, I arranged a get together last year for a tour up through the lights. Had a very good turn out (something like 20 cars I think), and a great day was had by all . It's been suggested that I do another one (I had forgotten all about the lights being on, so thanks to Fish for the reminder).

30th (Sunday) of October. As last time, we can have an early meet up for anyone who wants to make a day of it, and then a late meet up for anyone who just wants to do the lights.

If anyone wants to make any suggestions for daytime entertainment then please feel free.

So, add you names here, plus preferred day (if any), if you'll be up for the full day or just the evening, and a suggestion for daytime entertainment if you have one.

I might have missed some people off, sorry if I have, but don't worry, turn up at either 12pm or 7pm.

Still need some suggestions for a daytime activity, unless you all just want to experience the joys of Blackpool front, maybe the Pleasure Beach for a few white knuckle rides.

Itinerary.... Early meet up (for those that can) around 12pm. Probably have a spot of lunch and/or a quick (soft) drink at the pub. Go off to do some fun stuff. Have more food around 5pmish. Late meet up (for those just doing the lights) at 7pm. Drive through the lights. Those that are still willing and able can then carry on and do what ever they want.

Meeting place is Squires Gate retail park. Dead easy to get to:
Head along the M6 to Jn32, turn on to the M55. Head along the M55 to the end. At the round-about bear left. At the next round-about go straight on (3rd exit). Be careful along this road, there are speed traps that work. At the fourth set of lights turn left into the retail estate. Meet up in the carpark alongside Halfrauds - there's always loads of space there so we shouldn't have any problems parking a load of Surfs. For the evening meet-up We'll probably meetup in the carpark next to McD's as that should be open.
