Slugsie, I have had a word with my mate Ste, but he wont be going, do you have a plan, like where are we meeting and what are we doing?

I wouldn't mind meeting in a drive through or somthing for a bite to eat and then a cruise along the front. It would be nice if we could stop in a public place afterward and let other people admire our beast's

I would love to go to The Pool, and do the cruise through the lights, but do we have to stop at every red bulb we see?
Could take a while!

Chillitt, went to Walsall ones last year, didnt see any other surfs there.
And I think they would complain if we drove the route in a surf train!

Still unsure as to being able to get there....but Suggest meeting place is at the Halfords /PCworld Store again.....

Meeting point:
Head along the M6 to Jn32, turn on to the M55. Head along the M55 to the end. At the round-about bear left. At the next round-about go straight on (3rd exit). Be careful along this road, there are speed traps that work. At the fourth set of lights turn left into the retail estate. Meet up in the carpark alongside Halfrauds


Best place to meet up me thinks..plenty of space last time.

OK, this may be a bit short notice for some, but...

It's Blackpool Illuminations time

As a few of you might remember, I arranged a get together last year for a tour up through the lights. Had a very good turn out (something like 20 cars I think), and a great day was had by all . It's been suggested that I do another one (I had forgotten all about the lights being on, so thanks to Fish for the reminder).

The lights are on until the 6th of November, however I am away that weekend.

So, in order to give as much time as possible for you lot, I'm proposing either the 29th (Saturday) or 30th (Sunday) of October. As last time, we can have an early meet up for anyone who wants to make a day of it, and then a late meet up for anyone who just wants to do the lights.

If anyone wants to make any suggestions for daytime entertainment then please feel free.

So, add you names here, plus preferred day (if any), if you'll be up for the full day or just the evening, and a suggestion for daytime entertainment if you have one.

Looking like a Sunday so far

Still need some suggestions for a daytime activity, unless you all just want to experience the joys of Blackpool front, maybe the Pleasure Beach for a few white knuckle rides.

We could do the Karting again, but need numbers ASAP. I think (from last year) that we would need a minimum of 15 drivers and expect that to come to about £25 a head (the more we have, the less per head). If I can have yay's or nay's in the next few days I'll see what I can do about booking it.

Itinerary.... Early meet up (for those that can) around 12pm. Probably have a spot of lunch and/or a quick (soft) drink at the pub. Go off to do some Karting/what ever activity. Have more food around 5pmish. Late meet up (for those just doing the lights) at 7pm. Drive through the lights. Those that are still willing and able can then carry on and do what ever they want.

Meeting place is Squires Gate retail park. Dead easy to get to:

Not going to be able to meet up this time, working all day on the sunday and don't get home till gone 8pm.
Just a word about the car park @ halfords, it's now got a barrier which they lock up shortly after closing, which I would presume to be about 5pm on Sunday's so don't arrange to meet for night trip round the lights on said car park.

Edit :- The car park barrier is locked @ 6:30pm on Sunday's just been down there.
I don't think the car park to Morrisons has any barriers.

2 NT Servers need upgrading, 2003 DC adding to the new domain ,2003 with AD adding to network, Terminal Server configuration and all PC's converting over....so if this weekend work is on...possibly wont even get to do the run.
