After a year of happy motoring in my 2.4td I decided to try and sell. The main reason is the arrival of a new company car in October.
It,s not an option to keep her as I simply don,t have the room
for a third car. THEN IT HAPPENED!!! Over heating, water gushing from the overflow etc. Had it fixed by local spanner man who seemed to think it was a small split pipe which he replaced. OK for 2 short journeys
then more steam etc on M25 last week, got carried back home back
ny RAC. Spanner man returned next day and did pressure test and she
failed. He said could be head cracked or gasket gone, looks expensive.
So, MOT runs out Sept 23rd and I don't really want to spend much money on repairs etc. These are my options as I see them
1. Sell the car at auction sold as seen
2. Sell the car to a local breaker
3. Spend anything up to 2k on recon for engine then sell
Car has to go in next 2wks, any thoughts?
