  • Should I drive with OD on or off?

    Hi All,
    Newbie daft question for you!
It's the first time I've had OD, ECT, Cruise control on a vehicle.
How do I use these together to conserve the best fuel economy?
When I'm pottering around, should the OD be off or on?
    When should I use ECT?
I wish to learn how to drive this amazing beast to the best of my (& It's)capability.

    Regards,

    Squipper

    OD on
    ECT off for economy

ECT on holds it in gear for longer (except on mine)
OD off stopp top gear from engaging

think all these are in FAQ section!

Depends if you have a 2.4. In hilly country and around town I get better economy with OD and ECT on. Around 5%-10% better.
