Passers-by saved the life of a man when his car caught fire following a head-on collision on the A20 in Kent.
The accident involving a BMW and a Toyota Hi Lux happened at Hatch Hill near Sellinge early on Friday morning.
Police said the BMW driver, a 27-year-old man from the Romney Marsh, was seriously injured in the crash and had to be pulled to safety.
He was taken to hospital along with the Toyota driver who had minor injuries. The road was still closed at 1000 BST.
The Serious Crash Investigation Unit was called to the scene and witnesses are being sought by officers
