  • One year on...

OK, I bought my Surf just over a year ago now from another forum member. The Surf has been great, and I've enjoyed every minute of it (well nearly, loosing the coolant a couple weeks ago made my heart stop a touch , but it's been 100% since).

    I've:
Met loads of great people and had a good laugh with them all.
Got stuck in more mud than I thought even existed.
Gone up and down some slopes that I might not have previously even considered on foot.
    Hit trees.
    Got stuck.
    Driven through rivers.
Driven 2500 miles round trip to France with the car packed to the roof.
    Found hidden metal spikes.
    Got Stuck.
Filled the car with huge amount of junk to be taken to the tip.
Seen some beautiful bits of countryside (whilst stuck )

... and to cap it all, I've just put it through it's first MOT, and even with all the abuse I've put it through it flew straight through without even a cautionary remark (I've never had a car pass first time, ever).

    What a car.

I think I need to do an oil and filter change, the Surf deserves it.

(Now, if I can just find a way to reduce fuel costs )
