  • At last some pictures of my surf and intercooler

    Hi all

I've finally got some Pics of my surf

have a look at the engine. I think you may find it interesting

any question send me a PM or email

this kit is fitted to my 3.0lt so I'm looking for someone with a 2.4 who wouldn't miss the surf for a couple of week to develop a kit for them.

        are you making kits?
        how much?

why didn't you mount it on top of the engine and use a scoop?

the scoop on the top means that your have to do some body work and also you get all the heat from the engine. you still end up with some turbo lag so it not worth it. the mount is under the rad see image

yes we are making the kit.

it's a bit new so I'm not sure of the price. I need a 2.4 to play with because we only have a 3.0 lt kit

OK we record 80 c drop in inlet temp. the MPG is about 25 urban, acceleration better massive torque improvement.

I'm going to the mid norfolk (sumo's event) you can have a look then

is it bespoke for a surf or made from bits and bobs?

Torque is the most noticable improvement and you don't need to drive it. I don't have performance figure except to say that I got 0 to 60 in about 12 seconds

not bad for 2 ton of metal

The intercooler is made for the surf. the tubing in standard. the controller unit which fits to the EFI is special and makes the whole thing work.

are you going to sumo's day

I would let you have my surf for the research but its a bit poorly at the moment. If you still need one once I've fixed it then by all means you can have it.

                        Hiya,

VERY interesting..... I could even be pursuaded to lose the surf for a couple of weeks.

How much of the development cost comes nack to haunt me ?

                        Cheers,

I'm inspired. My Mrs is a bit hacked off. She can't find the hoover pipes anywhere.
Seriously though, I would be very tempted purchase a kit and admire your ingenuity. Good luck with your project.

Noticed from the piccie that you still have the original airbox, any plans on making up an induction kit to replace it with.
