  • @ Dogbook!

Landcruiser springs fitted! I fabricated my own drop bracket, took me about an hour and a half. Fitted new Procomp 3000 shocks(forgot to order the rubber boots, doh!)
Made a spacer for the flexy brake line, (I'll get a longer braided one soon.)
Raised the brake bias valve two inches, needs to go up another inch or so.
The rear is slightly higher than the back, but it may settle down after a while, but I kinda like it.
The ride really is'nt that much harder than it was on hard setting.
    What d'ya think?

looks GR8, a couple of questions please.
Are they new Landcruiser springs? If so are they cheaper to buy than the 2" lift ones for the Surf and what model Landcruiser are they off?

Oh and by the way, how are your Roof Rails fitted? Did you take the roof lining out and put washers/plates underneath or screw in self tappers through the top?

        Thanks,

        Rob.

Cheers, they're 1995 Landcruiser 80 springs from Milners, about £40. they'll give you three inches of lift.

Yeah, I had to take down the roof lining to drill the holes, used big aluminium washers with spring washers on top of them. They're bolted to the roof from the inside with the fixings that came with the rails. I got them from a vehicle breakers, took them off myself, £20. they came of a Peugeot 406 estate, but I've seen them fitted to Escort estates aswell.

GREAT......well done now adjust the front to suit!!

The springs are STANDARD landcruiser HDJ 80 rear coils and once fitted take about a week to settle about an inch!

These springs are rated at 180lb.

                Carry on...........

Cheers, d'you want yer box back? lol.
In the pics, the rear looks a lot higher than the front, but when I measured, it's only 1.5 inches difference.
I'll leave it for a month and see if the springs settle.
