Are any of you lot from the West Country?
Just come back from the South Hams, and have seen loads down there.
Not waving yet, as still in the Golf - waiting with bated breath and chewed fingernails for the Surf to arrive.

Bikers waving? Not always - a lot of plastic rocket jockeys won't wave except to another similarly-clad Power Ranger. Most GS-riders, tend to wave - probably on the lines of "hello, another loony..."
And nobody waves to young spotties with their feet on the rear pegs of their twist'n'go mopeds, or any rider of a pizza delivery vehicle.

                Regards
                Peter

I always give a lift of my fingers off the steering wheel. Get a few waves etc. If I wave or on occasion hang out the window and whoop I don't usually get a response. Odd that.

was sat in traffic on the A55 to wales a few weeks ago and actually sxchanged shouted pleasantries with a fellow surfer..

and theirs was burgundy as well, obviously a colour thing not only are burgundy ones faster, but the owners are nicer as well!!

I always flash (no clever quips!) when I see a fellow surf. Trouble is, with all my spots, I think I blind them rather than say hello.
                                He he................
Keep the tradition going, I always feel surfers share at least one thing in common, TASTE!
