  • what wheels drive

    in normal drive ie: two wheel drive is a 3rd gen surf front or rear wheel drive because mine seems to be front wheel just thought that was a bit strange

        I could be wrong of course (waiting for the chorus of agreement......), but never paid that much attention when in a 3rd gen, just to me seems highly unlikely.

        Need Matt or Rob to try theirs!

                    I might be talking drivel, but I thought 3rd Gens were fulll time 4WD? They DO have a centre diff, after all??

                      ye they have centre diffs cuz you can keep 3rd gens in 4wd on tarmac

                        But you can also run in 2wd. Thats why its called 'Multi-mode 4WD'

                        2WD, All Wheel Drive, 4WD high, and 4WD low, a car for every season!

                              but i guess if you have 4wd button depressed (that's 4wd, centre diff open) then you could spin a front wheel on the road???

                              what is the dash display saying?? should be all lights off...

                              green "wheels" should be lit for 4wd (diff open)
                              orange circle would be lit when diff is locked (either 4H or 4L)
