Something has happened on the London Underground and another bus in London (apparently). Early reports seem to be saying they were dummy blasts just using detonators on the underground but we will have to wait for the full details to come out. Hopefully nobody has been hurt. The tubes have been activated where I am (Waterloo) and they've stopped the London Eye and there's plenty of sirens.

4 incidents. 1bus and 3 trains. reports of explosions, but they are small and only 1 slightly injured casulty.
Police have arrested 1 man outside Downing Street.
Tube system was shut down but is gradually opening again now. Overground unaffected.
University College Hospital was cordoned off by police, and armed police seen entering but no info why yet.
Reports have been made about a rucksack blowing up, and a nail bomb, but the explosions were small and security sources are speculating it was detonators, not bombs.Linda

It was my first day in the office today. I had started at 1PM and just been shown how to use the phone system. Next job, contact all the field techs, find out where they were and tell them not to take the tube or public transport.
It took three hours to get home tonight because mainline staff are ****e at giving information, compared to their colleagues on the Underground. It's only a hobby!
