engine trouble

after all the MECHANICS told me my engine was shot and i bought a hilux to be a doner car i finaly got a bloke who does not say he knows everythingto take a luck and he seems to think it is the timing belt has slipped or jumped?? will know tomorrow and post the findings as he is just a clever sod who takes engines to bits throws all the bits in a pile then putts them together again properly and does not charge an arm and leg to do it

Good mechanics are so hard to find. Hilux engine really is very strong and it's rare for them to be totalled enough to really need junking - even the 2.4 ( Irebuilt the bottom and top ends of mine relatively easily and for a lot less money than a new engine.

Just have to keep the pickup for a toy now.
