I think most people will tell you that it doesnt matter how it is badged because of all the addons that you could get, all that matters is that you are happy with what you paid and you love the beast.

That's a very hard one to tell. There were so many options available to add to each model, and the Japanese do so love putting ticks on the spec sheet, that no two are the same. You'll often find lower spec'd models with things on that higher spec'd ones don't (for instance, I have an SSR-X with a sunroof, I've seen SSR-X ltds without).

Basically, don't worry about it, and enjoy your Surf.

There's a good chance that if it has a Recaro interior it will be a G.

can confirm that ssrg has the recaros.
so if its not its summat else but what is anyones guess because our eastern friends love the add ons sooooooooooo much.

My SSR-X has sun roof, front and rear heaters, twin batteries, air con (did have)......... heated mirrors/drivers seat. And a boiled sweet stuck to the carpet.

I see you have a 1996 model which i am guesssing is a new shape third gen model in which case the ssrg does not have recaros as standard this is only true of the second gen i believe. Please correct me if i am wrong somebody.

My SSR-X doesnt have any of the above except the air con, not even the sweet.

If it is the 3rd Gen, it should have a retractable mirror in the rear spoiler. I have only seen SSR-G models with this. I know mine does...

According to his member profile he has an electric retractable rear mirror, so my guess is that it's an SSR-G

The other give away on an SSRG 3rd gen is the plastic wood facia and door cappings.

I'll trade you the boiled sweet for the few McD's fries that I found under rear seats, they were a loverly shade of green so they could be LIME flavour.

I bought a huge bag of boiled sweets from a wholesaler about two years ago. Got loads left. I could post them to anyone who wants one. I'm guessing that for the full effect you'd have to suck them for a while first though!
