  • Hilux owner in Ontario Canada

Well, after a pleasant 2500km drive from Vancouver to nw ontario and a 3 week battle with the minstry of transport I FINALLY have plates on my vehicle. Apparently Ontario is the most anal of provinces and refused to register my vehicle despite it clearing Canada Customs with no issues. after hours on the phone I finally got an answer of what additional paperwork they wanted to see. A few more phone calls to Japan to secure more documentation and she is now ready to cruise.
On a pleasant note the run through the rocky mountains went suprisingly well as did the cruise across the prairies with the crosswinds howling. Now, i guess my most immediate job is to get at that 105km warning bell...

will do- be nice to submit shots too of all the heads turning as i drive by as people look to see a RHD suv drive by. I think I will have to take a pic of her parked beside a 1990 4runner here that is more rust than paint to show how hard our climate here is on vehicles and what drove me to search the japanese market for something rust free in the first place.

yeah-its a big place. the driving time to the Rocky Mountains ( Banff) is about the same as the driving time down to Toronto in Southern Ontario. I'm up in logging country where the fishings always good...
