It would be good, but like all sand dunes if you start to tear them up then they loose their effectiveness as a barrier. Its the dune grass that holds it all together and any waters back!

Its southport Gaz, u don't have to worry about a sea barrier, their is no water there to hold back lol.

Are we meeting up at say a carpark before we all head down to the beach or are we meeting on the beach. As i dont know the area that well if we are meeting on the beach i could do with some directions from a main road to the beach.

shame it isnt the bh monday, i am down at southport with cruise cad then,

ne one know wether its ok for the surf to go on the dunes?

Watch out for the mounted police! They are always there ready to slap your hands for driving madly on the beach.
I have seen them nab a number of boy racers on there (Ainsdale that is)
