  • Mrs Sumo needs.........

Hi Guys and Gals (and Matt ) If you was at salsbury plain the other weekend you may remember that bunny,my loverly suzi had a knocking noise when you came up on the clutch,well...........my old man finaly had a look and found the UJ's on the back of the propshaft where some what knackered..I think thats wot he said.
My problem is he is now in the shed making some nasty noises trying to split the old uj's. How do you split them without a press? or has anyone got a rear propshaft for a sj413.
Got to go I can here Mr GRUMPY coming.
    TA.

Put a socket that slightly smaller that the cap on one side and a bigger socket the other side that the opposite cap will press out in to. Then put the whole lot in a vice (you need 4 arms to make it easier) and do the vie up to press it out, on lay it on the floor big socket down, and lay in to the small socket with a BFH.

Make sure he's taken the circlips out first
