glow plugs

Hi im having trouble starting my 30td surf the batteries are new it just seems very hesetent to start could it be the glow plugs and where are they to change them? anyone have any ideas

Do you wait for the beeeeeeep! before trying to start the engine?

that beep doesnt seem to be on all surfs tho... i have left mine on the pre-start position for quite a few mins and it didnt bleep,

may sound stupid but are you low on fuel? surfs dont like being low on fuel when you hit about 1/4 tank it starts to get more reluctant to start,

In all the Surfs I've had, never had a beep.

The Beeeeeeeeeeeeep that Bushwacker is referring to is the Beeeeeeeeeeeeep that you get to warn you that the keys are still in the ignition. if you wait for that Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeep to Beeeeeeeeeeeeep your Glow plugs will be almost cold again. Wait for light to go off and give it 5-10 seconds before turning key.

With ALL the bleepers in a Surf, HOW did they miss out on that one ?

No doubt the 2006 model will have a bleeper to tell you that the cupholder is out

Am I the only one with a beeeeeep!?
I put key in ignition, glowplug light goes out after 1 second, 8 seconds later I get the beeeeep!!!!
Then I just turn the key and the truck starts.
Truck seems to be reluctant to start unless I wait for the beeeeeep!
