  • In`t Ebay Great

Ripped out the big stereo today, and put in a slender little Clarion Mp3 player.
Stereo was £70,Facia Apapter was £12, and wireing adapter was about a tenner(car`nt remember without looking it up),I think thats good value for money, and everything came from Ebay delivered to the door within 3 days.

After asking on here about where to get facia adapters and wireing adapters, most people pointed out Halfords, so i went. They did`nt have any of my parts on the shelf, when i asked them if they could get them, they then asked me for the part number!,Is`nt that your job, i thought.
"Waste of !!!!!! time" , was the reply the wife got we she asked me how i`d got on at Halfords.

Anyway ,I`m happy now and the stereos great!

B***s to Halfords, Ebay`s got everything.

    You knows it!!!

Ebay has got us! (Vixen_Footwear - all your kinky boots requirements! )

Seriously though, there are some great deals to be had on eBay if you're careful. Hell I bought my Surf on eBay and its the coolest thing ever!

Just got to watch out for those 'EGR bearings' and 'resistor chips'

      I know what you mean

I'm not a fan of Halford. That's really putting it mildly.

I've had nothing but trouble with them.

Had same experience that you did re trying to get facia parts. That reminds me of the time I nearly parted with serious cash to buy some alloys for my wife's RAV4. Was already to do the deal, just needed some advice. Stood next to sales person and waited for help. She was busy chatting to a young male friend who had walked into the shop. Waited for about five minutes before I said bugger it I'll spend my hard earned cash elsewhere.

Stupid me bought a Halfords top of the range charger about six months ago. Within a few months that started behaving strange and is now kn@ckered!

Tried their on-line shopping experience as well. After I'd put about fifty quids worth of stuff in my cart , which had taken a hell of a long time (I was on dial up then), they shut their ****ing website down for maintenance!! As you can imagine I was not best pleased. Mailed them to complain and they didn't even do me the justice of sending an apology.

End result. If Halford was the last place on earth where I could buy car parts... I'd start walking.

      Rant over.
