I'm going to buy a surf soon....

Can you give me some input please.

What to look for what not to buy, common faults etc..

I would prefer an auto, and 3.0 i think....

Best car on the road 3ltr Surf. Just check that floor wells are dry. Didn't notice mine were wet under carpet and had to change Matrix. Not Cheap job.

I'm pretty local (Washington) and have a 3.0L - my brother has a 2.4 if you want to pop around and have a look / chat about surfs.

Would go for a 3.0 ssrg next time, not that I have any problems with my 2.4 ssrx apart from it is a little under powered, and the ssrg has a few more toys.

I've noticed a few people on here say that their 2.4's are a little underpowered, but I really don't agree!!

It's not a case of being 'used' to slower cars, either. My previous car had 170bhp.

My turbo boosts up to about 0.9 bar, and the truck flies along!!

It leaves quite a few other cars standing at the lights, aswell!!

Mine thrashes the arse off my nephews 50cc Gilera Moto-x lookalike. It's unrestricted too and does 50'ish. I must admit he beats me on accelleration to 20MPH, then its all over!!

I'm well impressed with my 3.0 manual, it goes much faster than my LR SIII! Seriously I can't believe how quick it is, I didn't buy it for speed but what a bonus, it touched 110 over the weekend and still had plenty more there. I dont know what MPG it does and really don't care, if I wanted to save money I would have bought a Micra.
