Do the gear knobs unscrew from the top of the levers enabling these extensions to be fitted at the top of the lever?
    Just a thought.

yes thats what i thought first but this dosnt stop the boots catching so they must go at the bottom somewhere

Having had a look at Rogers 4Crawler site here it seems as tho the extensions you got do in fact simply screw to the top s of the lever. He also has other suggestions to make regarding alterations to reduce binding and/or other difficulties with the levers after a body lift.

If you mean the rubber boots no longer seem to fit right then there is not much you can do.This is one of the little things that nobody ever mentions along with the bush on the firewall where the steering shaft goes through.Check that as well. The shaft may be binding a little if they have not adjusted the position of the bush.

I beg to differ Nifty, I told Jedi the following on 16th April:

"I didnt bother with gearstick extensions and shifting can be fairly tight because of the gaiters on the sticks"

            and.......

"The steering column grommet has been destroyed though and you might look at preventing that by loosening the bolts at the firewall pre-lift and checking after the lift"

cheers mate i should have searched rogers website but i was frustrated trying to fit them now realise they are just to extend levers no to stop boots rubbing so looks like ill have to get tin snips on plate never mind the lift looks the mutts its just now im considering a suspension lift as well theres no stopping me now
