  • I Want One

Hi Everyone, I have been thinking about getting myself a Surf for sometime now and need some advice.
I will probably go for an import so what should I look out for?
Which model/engine size should I go for?
Why do you think they are so good?
Which are the best importers, I live in the North West England
    Thanks, Greenie.

Welcome to the Surf Kingdom Greenie.........
you will find loads of info on Surfs and there are Loads of people with Loads of knowledge on Surfs, so if your stuck for anything, do a search or just ask...

To reply to your questions what budget are you on for spending on your New Surf ????????????

That way we can let you know what to go for

My own choice of Surf would be a 2nd Gen, 3Lt Auto ANY colour don't mind........

As for WHY are they so good..........
Go for a drive in one and then ask yourself the same question

Well for 6 to 8 grand you shall have a VERY nice Surf

BEST bit of advice I can give you is to have a look in the For Sale Section, there are a couple of members of this Forum that sell Surfs (and very nice they are to

            As for MPG........

Some have had (un-confirmed reports that is) 35mpg out of there Surf
Most I ever got out of mine was 29 Mpg BUT I do tend to have a problem with the old right foot getting heavy

Have a look in the For Sale Section Greenie, BUT I would go for a 3Lt 2nd Gen (Lovely Motor )

            Colin

Thanks, you seem like a friendly bunch
I was thinking of getting a Surf 18 months ago, then changed my mind and took a shine to the Isuzu Trooper, got cold feet after owning 10 German cars...VW mainly, then on a whim I bought an Audi A6 avant aaaarrgh! nice car but bores the ass off me...you live and learn.
I wont ever buy a car without doing some homework again.
Anyway im in no hurry, I take it the 2nd generation are better mechanically, cheers GREENIE

the worst car I ever had,my advice would be get a 3.0 Surf,I personally prefer the 3rd gen but you would probably need to up the ante by 2k,well worth it though.
