  • Selling my surf ,but help required

    Dear All,

I put an ad in yesterday to sell my surf, but alas a few hits but no calls. I also have it on Autotrader on the net and am now thinking of just putting it on E-Bay. Is it the norm that these cars are hard to sell or am I after too much for it, a few comments might assist. After bills for a new head and turbo (£2500 )and all the servicing it seems a steal for £3000 but its now been advertised for 3 weeks and not one call. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, what am I doing wrong ?

Few more details of your car would be helpful . I presume its a 2.4 when you've had the head done.
There are a lot more surfs for sale these days , so people are getting choosy.
Dare I say , it's probably easier to sell a more expensive model.
The head is the big thing ,it's rare for them to go again. Why not keep it ?

      Found it !!
"I,ve got a 92 J SSRX Metallic Green 88K that is up for grabs so I thought I,d pop an ad in and see if any of you surf fans want to make me an offer. I,ll put the car onto the ads section with description. Really good condition, chrome bumper model, black windows service history since 62K when I got it. Had to put a new cylinder head and turbo on at 70K ( yeah-ouch) BF Gooodriches all round cam belt done at 65K immaculate interior takes me to work 60 miles each day so need to get something a little cheaper to run, but this car is reliable and well looked after, need a good home. MOT Nov by the way.Is 3K too much to ask ? "

Sounds like a nice car for the money.
