Sorry Chillit - couldnt help myself. I tried not to reply to Kazam401's post - I mean I really tried - it's because I care. Wish I didn't but I do - the kids have just finished gnawing the Christmas turkey bones, their little clogs are worn out and the wife say's she wants whats left of the cooking oil to fry the last of the chips before I put it into the Surf. Things can only get better - I know because Tony said so. I feel for 2 Jags though - he must be really desperate, I only have one Surf I can't afford fuel for.

gotta agree though, can,t wait to leave for Canada, the wife graduates in sept. as a midwife and then the ball starts rolling, all the way to British Columbia.

The capital appreciation of our property is ONLY any use if we take the money and RUN.................Boom and Bust was the Tory policy...........seem to be seeing the same under New Labour, another 5 years and the people in our shoes will definately be seeing the BUST.

Having said that I dont think any of the party's will be doing us any favours TAX TAX TAX TAX we are one of the most heavily taxed nations in the world, no matter who is in power that ain't about to change.

I am waiting for C&E to get back to me with the forms regarding Veg oil, I dont want to be breaking the law by not declaring the fuel duty on it now do I ?.

What would this gov do without there 27.1p/l fuel duty...............GREEN GREEN GREEN I somehow dont think so if it get in the way of £££££££TAX£££££££.

midwives are pretty much in demand over there as they have only been recognized as midwives since 1998 before that they were obstetric? nurses, as for general nursing i,m not sure but my m8,s sister worked over there for a few yrs as a nurse, we won,t get to the hoops bit for about 12/18 month but shouldn,t be too many probs i hope

treating increase in value of your property as making you better off is all a bit pointless. it is also about the only thing keeping the economy going. if people stopped taking up their equity and spending it and just threw money at their mortgages we would have a much more sustainable housing market. and maybe i could afford`to buy a house.

I'm 34 now and have never voted, and whilst I can appreciate comments about not complaining who you get [and yes I agree i put up with whoever we get] the reason for me not voting is each Party is one and the same....promise you the earth and you only get wind!

Well heres a little good news for you all. A speed camera has just been set alight near me. They after carefully placing sliced tyres around the bottom and covering them in smelly liquid ( hmmmmmm wonder what that was) then lit it . Woooooooooofff ! Now been estimated at £30000.00 damage. Watching a revocery truck come and tow the trailer away it was on !!!!

Talking to a Bobby i work with today told me about a case he has just done and he said that a guy ( NO PREVIOUS RECORD) went into a petrol station , filled up , and drove off.
When the Police caught up with him, He had already been collered by his lawyer.
He was told to say basically.......... (Ohh my god ! I totally forgot to pay. I have the money on me and can pay it but i just drove out because i have so much on my mind) ..........and a few other things cant remember what. Guess what ........ Apparently ... theres nothing they could do . He got off scott free !!!! ( Worth a thought )

But i myself is heavily taxed as i smoke, Drink and drive (Not at the same time) Have a T.V licence (because i would be jailed and fined if i didnt. Even though i DONT WATCH THE POXY THING) !!!!!


Road tax on all three cars, Its just me that drives in the family and i can only drive one at a time !!!!


All i am waiting for now is for them to tax E-bay !
It wont be long before they do but................... I would make headlines for suing the government for adding TAX to stolen goods bought !!!!!!!!

There has been - I have lived there for 24yrs and had one myself last year caused by the stupid 'safety measures' they put in waiting for the camera to generate the cash to do a proper job. Take a look at the tyre marks where people have lobbed the brakes on when they've spotted the camera. By the way it's set at 79mph - allegedly.

As Kazam401 said....I gota get out of this place (i feel a song coming on)....taxes suck but we all have to pay some and we do get some bits back in NHS, police, refuse collection etc. These we dont mind its the stinger taxes that we get PO'd about like fuel.
I Spent 6 months in Australia and would love to go back to live. their way of live and their taxes are great compared to ours. I an get in as skilled as can my g/f but due to kids its stops us from going. 1 day may be we will get there when the kids are self suficiant untill then its going to have to be scrimp and save and veg oil lol
If the forum had a fuel price protest i would gladly support it. Aussie fuel is about 1/3 the price of ours. USA is also similar.
