  • A new surfer is born

Finally picked up my baby yesterday. 1993 SSR-X Ltd 3.0ltr MANUAL TD green over silver. All credit for this purchase goes to Linda, who not only found the truck, but posted photos to me, and gave me an honest opinion of both vehicle and owner - Thank you so Much
I live in Suffolk and the truck was in Basingstoke, so my first run was 180 miles - joy! What a pleasure, and what a difference between the 2.4 and the 3.0ltr. So glad I found this site before I got one, as it was the info here that encouraged me to get the 3.0ltr. No difference with insurance, little difference in MPG, but does that extra 600cc make a difference in grunt. Pulls away like a sports car, and doesn't blink on hills.
Ramble ramble ramble ..... sorry, just really stoked.

    Thanx everyone

Welcome to the mad, mad world of Surfdom, although I get the hint that you had a 2.4 before. Enjoy your new truck and post some pics soon.

Oh yeah as for thse ESSEX boys ignore them cos we in SUFFOLK can chose our own colours, in stead of having them all the same (white shoes, white handbag and a white ford escort)

Now now boys, no handbags at dawn Not on this day of happiness and bliss.
Thanks for your support and I will post pics as soon as the weather improves - aiming for about 2006!
No disrespect intended to 2.4 owners, I know them well (owned a 2dr 1990), but the 3.0ltr is VERY different - all opinions welcome
