  • Painting Alloy Wheels?

Just a thought, I wondered if it would be a good idea to paint my alloy wheels as a cheap way of tarting them up, rather than paying £100s to get them refurbed.

    Anyone tried this?

Not to the Surf, but yes done this before...

Worked out well and looked good - the key is preperation: sanding, priming etc

(I even managed to remove scuff marks and a dent by using a filling primer)

Whenever Ive done it, I've used a tin called "5 wheel silver" (i think) and always comes up with a good finish. Its about the same coulour as a factory alloy and is easy to use.
