I am thinking of getting a HiLux surf, for the simple reason is they look fairly large for carting things around.
I spend alot of my weekends surfing, camping mountain biking etc.
At the moment I have a little 307 which has the boot full to the limit of camping gear, surfboards on the roof rack and occasionally a bike on the back.
What I need to know is,
1 For £7000 will i get something good or a heap of rust someone has thrown around
2 Looking maybe at eh diesel versions, how many miles to the gallon do they do (pity no info on parkers for these)
3 Which varites are good.
Planning to do a good 500 miles on the weekend looking for the surf.
The peugoet is great, economic and reliable but very very small, no offroad ability, even farm lanes when fully loaded.
So is this the right vehicle for me, or should i just get an estate car
