  • Surprising MPG!

Only had my 2.4 Surf for a couple of days. Thought i'd do a rough mpg test.

    Covered 491 km using £42!

Which at Sainsbury prices was a little over 50 litres!

This worked out at 9.8 miles per litre

Which if my sums are right works out at 41mpg!!

No where as bad as I was expecting.

Works out at 25mpg if you take into account that the odo reads Kilometres.

I did take into kilometers account.

            Am I missing something?

Is this a sore/often discussed subject?

20 - 28 mpg is a better figure. Unless you have a large SAIL fitted.

                          Ha ha ha...

Oops! Yeah right. Just worked out that i'd worked out kpl!

                          So I then x 9.86 by 0.6 = 5.8 miles per litre

                          x 4.2 = 25mpg!

Now thats what I was expecting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
