      Yes- no amount of tweaking will get a Surf above 30 mpg. I reckon I came close once at steady 65mph (A-bar removed, road tyres not mud pluggers fitted, fully loaded with familly holiday stuff) on a long motor way trip. But that was the exception not the rule.

          Thanks also, I think I have checked most of the tips.
          The turbo in mine seems to come on at a certain angle of the pedal not any particular revs. I use the turbo light to judge and hold my foot steady just below were the light comes on. I thought the turbo was supposed to compress the air so you could burn more fuel but I may be wrong.
