Guess what I did today? Yes u guessed it! I went off-road on my own.
I was only out at Barton for 15 minutes when I got stuck. I can hear you all laughing now and thinking what a p***k (fool). I have been round Barton most weeks and know all the tracks very well, but still I ended up getting stuck in the mud for over 3 hours even though earlier I had walked three quarters of the way down the track to make sure it was passable. I was glad that I have good friends that are willing to help me out; they came at the drop of a hat. Thanks to Mark (Marky) and Lee (Fatcat8) for coming to my rescue and a special to Tracy sorry I messed up your Mothers day. But even with their help, it still took over an hour to get me out. If they had not come to my rescue then my surf would have gone the same way as the freelander that got stuck and was left on the river run over night, kids had got to the car and burned it out. So the moral of the story is, don’t do it even if u know the area well, u never know what will go wrong.
