Got the fire extinguisher, first aid kit, warning triangle as a kit coming via ebay, I need to get a replacement bulb kit, if I walk into my local Halfords tomorrow, will the bloke know what kit I need as its an import second gen Surf ? Will the 4Runner kit do if they stock it ?

What about headlamp convertors, do they stock them or do I need to contact Milners ?

I dont bother with the headlamp converters just use black insulating tape across the part of the lens that bends the light. I have the 3rd gen Surf but presume the head lights are the same. It is illegal to drive in France without the beams deflected. The Police look but when they see the black tapeon the lights they assume you have complied and just wave you on. A good phrase book with the automotive terms is a good buy. You dont have to have a bulb kit but just be in a position to replace any blown bulb immediately. I just carry one of each in the glove box.
