If pushed I'd have to say the Porsche 911, just a timeless design that hasn't changed significantly over the years. I'm lucky to say I've driven one too.

After that, the Peugeot 309 GTi - I've had 5 of them, I've never driven another car which feeds back to the driver like these. One of the best chassis set-ups ever and one of the most underated cars ever.

Otherwise the usual suspects - Skylines, Mustang, etc...

              Spoon Sports Civic EG6 VTi...

              Awesome... just awesome...
Subtle, understated, and real quick when wound up... (pillar box red)
258bhp... normally aspirated. Everyone thought it was a grannies car until we wound it up...

              and when really bored.

Lancia Integrale Evo4 (dealers edition)..... fantastic fun.

At least 450bhp, probably more... none of these were original, and too scared to put it on a dyno... Everyone thought this was a golf, ha hahahahah....

My mum had a Fiat 128 1300 - I was 17 and it went like a rocket (she never did figure out how the milage got so high )

Do we have to restrict this to cars???

                  Volvo F12 Globetrotter 400BHP - what a truck!!!

for a cheap performance car try a Citroen BX gti 16VALVE (the 1900 not the 1600!), my friend has one and its chipped with special manifolds. Goes like stink and sounds lovely as its DOHC

                          TVR Cerbera.

built with sticky tape and blu tack and leaks like a pair of wellies with holes in but what a car! a true 911 beater! and reasonable price.
2nd time unlucky with an import

Thats a shame. My mate has just finished spraying bits n bobs and looks lovely too now, quite understated.

I had one, G reg in white. Great car, comfortable, fast, and economical. I sold it and two weeks later while the dealer was using it (he liked it too), the suspension collapsed. Dodged a very big repair bill there.

As to what I want... Caterham 7, the version they did a few years back that was fitted with the 2ltr engine out of a Vauxhall touring car. 250+BHP and less that 500KGs.
