  • I need advice - waterproofing

How does one waterproof a tent and where does one get the product from and whats it called?

Or does one have to employ someone to do it.

You need tent water proofing stuff(fabsil) it comes in tins or spray cans any camping shop will sell it.

depends what its made of. theres stuff called fabsil for nylon tents or texnix or txdirect for cotton. also different stuff for ground sheets. spray on treatments dont tend to last very long. check out the back of walking magazines, theres adds for people who will do it for you at a price...
if your seams arent sealed you can get a tube of jollop for that too, only use that on the inside of the fly sheet otherwise it looks terrible! thats 10 years working in a camping shop for you....
      it's in me shed, mate.

once youve used the stuff you will call it worse than that! its like trying to seal round the bath, but the bath was flapping in the wind and you are inside it...its real name is erm... seamseal...
